Fix Printer Offline
Common solutions for when your printer appears as offline in Windows.
Open Devices and Printers
Press Windows + R, type control printers, and press Enter. This will open the Devices and Printers window where you can manage printer settings and troubleshoot issues.
Go to Devices and Printers
In Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound and then select Devices and Printers to view all installed printers and devices.
Select Your Printer
Locate your printer in the Devices and Printers window. Click the printer icon once to select the printer that is showing an offline status.
Open Printer Properties
Right-click your printer and select Printer Properties from the menu. This will open the printer configuration settings.
Go to the Advanced Tab
Inside Printer Properties, click the Advanced tab. This section contains several settings related to printer availability and communication.
Check Printer Connection
Make sure the printer is properly connected to your computer. Verify that the USB cable is securely attached or that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC.
Disable Use Printer Offline
In the printer settings, locate the Use Printer Offline option. If it is enabled, uncheck it to allow Windows to communicate with the printer normally.
Verify the Setting
Confirm that Use Printer Offline is no longer checked. This helps bring the printer back online and allows pending print jobs to process correctly.
Click Apply and OK
Click Apply to save the changes, then click OK to close the Printer Properties window. Your printer should now appear Online and be ready to print.
